14th Century Bishop's Ring From England

This 14th Century Bishop's Ring from England features a stunning gold band adorned with a six-cusped setting that holds a sapphire-blue glass stone. The intricate stirrup-shaped hoop and enamelled floral sprays add to its beauty. It is cast in solid brass and can be gold plated.

The original is stored in the V&A Museum and the name inscribed inside the hoop tells us that this ring belonged to William Wytlesey the Bishop of Rochester, Worcester and  Canterbury between 1362 and his death in 1374.
