The Large Brass Medieval Buckle truly represents the best of Medieval design. Six-sided shapes (sexfoils) were popular in jewelry, stained glass windows and stonework. Here it takes the shape of a medieval buckle. This buckle is nearly identical to a brooch seen on the "Synagogue" statue from Bamberg cathedral, which was carved in the early 13th century.
This medieval buckle can be customized with coloured enamel in the small collets (circles) upon request.
